My wife Karen and I, were married December 30th, 1972. We have two sons and a daughter and they have given us seven wonderful grandchildren. I also have the best daughter-in-laws and son-in-law you could ask for.
I have been in the ministry since 1972 serving in areas of Youth Pastor, Music Director, Christian Education Director, and now I have the pleasure of being the Pastor of some of the greatest people in the world at Smith River Baptist Church.

Favorite Places: Maui, Disneyland, anywhere that I'm with family

Favorite Sport/Team: GO GIANTS, also Oregon Ducks and  Michigan Wolverines

Favorite Food: In-N-Out, Cracker Barrel, Ghirardelli Hot Fudge Sunday, Karen's cooking

Kari Whitford
Worship Leader

Kari was born into a Christian family. Her dad has been in ministry since before she was born. She graduated from Del Norte High School and then went on to attend Baptist Bible College. While at BBC she met her husband, TJ. They have two kids, Addison and Barrett. Kari hads led worship and been on worship teams at many churches. She has a passion to serve Christ using the talents He has given her.

Favorite Place: Home with my family, Disneyland, and Target (in no particular order).

Favorite Music: Micheal Buble.

Favorite Food: Coffee, coffee, and coffee.

Tj Whitford
Family Pastor

TJ was born into a Christian family. He was saved at the age of 13. Shortly after that, he surrendered to full time ministry. He attended Baptist Bible College where he met his wife, Kari. He has many years experience working with youth and children's ministry. Since he came to Smith River Baptist, he has helped re-vamp our children's ministry, led community outreach events, and recently has started working with our teenagers. He has been a great addition to our church.

Favorite Band: Mainly Christian Hip Hop, but I enjoy most anything.

Favorite Sport: Two words: GO COLTS!

Favorite Food: Anything that Kari makes and hot wings.
